If anything about my talk on Michael's motivation sounds familiar, it's because this issue was examined in a classic Justice League cartoon 2-parter, "A Better World." It's one of the best episodes of an incredible show and its strength demonstrates how powerful a story you can craft around this idea of trying to make things better - and things going wrong.
Michael could have been the show's first tragic villain.
And part of me is more disappointed - because I know Jensen could pull it off. Him playing the role of a Michael begging - pleading to just listen and give him a chance - could bring us all to tears.
