Welcome back to “Top Six Favourites Episodes”, this time for season four. These are, still to this day, the nearest and dearest to my heart, my comfort episodes, the ones I go to when I need a laugh or a cry or the comfort of an old friend. Before you read my list, make your…
Two-bit carnie acts Unlike those beloved one-night stands (a pox upon thee, Sam, for killing my Casey. Jerk.), these lesser (in screen time only, of course) lights, quickies, if you will, generally have little-to-nothing to do with advancing the plot. Their raison d’être? A memorable chuckle, chuckles. There are exceptions of course, which is why…
#9 – Bugs Attack – “Bugs” It’s not uncommon in the history of network television. Some of the funniest moments end up being the unintentional ones. Here’s my arbitrary, unscientific ranking from honorable mention to best….
This was a great scene but the one that had me laughing uncontrollably every time I watched it was when Sam and Dean busted into the degenerate Santa’s home and then started singing Silent Night to cover up their error. God, I laughed so hard the first time I saw it I had tears in my eyes!
I think I’m the only person on the planet who actually likes fruitcake 🙂
Mr and Mrs Evil Suburban Gods were great, but it was the serenading of Skanky Santa that had me cackling madly and spilling Stella all over the cat …
I loved this episode for many, many things! The torture scene was oddly hilarious, given the subject matter, but Dean’s adaptation to “fudge” was just straight up funny. The earlier scene with the off-key and mangled “Silent Night” made me, as a singer who knows that Jensen actually can sing, wince hard in the midst of pained laughter.
