"Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you.” —  Friedrich Nietzsche

Less is more, that is what I say, so this week’s article is simple and I chose the word “monster” for it. Everything the brothers are up against are monsters one way or the other. In the Supernatural episode "The Memory Remains", we saw a new monster, the god Moloch, going against the brothers. He was one of many others that they had faced before. I don’t know if any site about Supernatural out there has a Supernatural monster count, but I think it is huge. It was a while ago when I found these two videos about the villains of Supernatural and like I said before, they all fit the monster category. I don’t know about you but for me these videos brought back memories. We have had some great villains, haven’t we?

Rock You Like A Hurricane [Villains] by: TheSPNvessels

Rock You Like A Hurricane by Scorpions

It's early morning
The sun comes out
Last night was shaking
And pretty loud
My cat is purring
And scratches my skin
So what is wrong
With another sin
The bitch is hungry
She needs to tell
So give her inches
And feed her well
More days to come
New places to go
I've got to leave
It's time for a show

Here I am, rock you like a hurricane
Here I am, rock you like a hurricane

My body is burning
It starts to shout
Desire is coming
It breaks out loud
Lust is in cages
Till storm breaks loose
Just have to make it
With someone I choose
The night is calling
I have to go
The wolf is hungry
He runs the show
He's licking his lips
He's ready to win
On the hunt tonight
For love at first sting

Here I am, rock you like a hurricane
Here I am, rock you like a hurricane
Here I am, rock you like a hurricane
Here I am, rock you like a hurricane

Scorpions are a German rock band formed in 1965 in Hanover by Rudolf Schenker. Since the band's inception, its musical style has ranged from hard rock to heavy metal. The lineup from 1978–92 was the most successful incarnation of the group, and included singer Klaus Meine (vocals), Rudolf Schenker (rhythm guitar), Matthias Jabs (lead guitar), Francis Buchholz (bass guitar), and Herman Rarebell (drums). The band's only constant member has been Schenker, although Meine has been the lead singer for all of the band's studio albums, and Jabs has been a consistent member since 1979.

During the mid-1970s, with guitarist Uli Jon Roth part of the line-up, the music of the Scorpions was defined as hard rock. After the departure of Roth in 1978, Matthias Jabs joined and, following the guidance of producer Dieter Dierks, the Scorpions changed their sound towards melodic heavy metal, mixed with rock power ballads. Throughout the 1980s the group received positive reviews and critical acclaim from music critics, and experienced commercial success with the albums Animal Magnetism (1980), Blackout (1982), Love at First Sting (1984), World Wide Live (1985) and Savage Amusement (1988).

Their best-selling album Crazy World (1990) includes the song "Wind of Change", a symbolic anthem of the political changes in Eastern Europe in the late 1980s and early 1990s and the fall of the Berlin Wall. It is one of the best-selling singles in the world with over fourteen million copies sold. Scorpions have sold over 100 million records in total. They have released 18 studio albums, 27 compilation albums and 74 singles. Six of their singles have reached number one on the charts in different countries. Their albums, singles, compilations and video releases have reached 200 times gold, platinum and multi-platinum status in different countries.

Rolling Stone Magazine described the Scorpions as "the heroes of heavy metal", and MTV called them "Ambassadors of Rock". The band was ranked number 46 on VH1's Greatest Artists of Hard Rock programme, with "Rock You Like a Hurricane" at number 18 on VH1's list of the 100 Greatest Hard Rock Songs. "Still Loving You" ranked 22nd place among the greatest ballads. The Scorpions have received prestigious awards such as three World Music Awards, a star on the Hollywood Rock wall, and a presence in the permanent exhibition of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In 2015 the group celebrated its 50th anniversary.

Slipping - Supernatural Villains by Enzonia F

Sam: Oh, don't do the hot coffee thing.
Dean: Boy this coffee is hot. Kind of like... Hi, what's your name?

Mr. Ketch: It's clear. Onward. Now remember your orders. By the time we leave, Dr. Hess wants to know everything about our 'friends' the Winchesters – their allies, their habits. How does Sam get his hair so shiny? How many ratty flannels does Dean own? So work quick, work quiet, and leave no trace. Oh, and apparently, Mick let Sam and Dean get their hands on the bloody Colt. Find it, huh?

Dean: You know, I was... thinking about what Bishop said. About... What do you think our legacy's gonna be? When we're gone, I mean, after all the stuff we've done, you think folks will remember us? You know, like, a hundred years from now?

Sam: No.
Dean: Oh, that's nice.
Sam: Well, I mean... guys like us, we're not exactly the type of people they write about in history books, you know? But the people we saved, they're our legacy. And they'll remember us and then I guess... we'll eventually fade away, too. That's fine, because we left the world better than we found it, you know.

Trivia and Minutiae

Sam and Dean use the aliases "Agents Stark and Martell," a reference to two of the major dynasties in the A Song of Ice and Fire book series by George Martin and its television adaptation Game of Thrones.

Sam: All right, well, he lives in the woods, so he's like a local Jersey Devil. And apparently he has the head of a goat.
The Jersey Devil is a legendary monster from Pine Barrens, New Jersey, dating back to the 1700s.

Sam: I have some idea what we're dealing with. Look at this. It's a saytr – half man, half goat from Greek mythology.
Dean: Oh come on. This guy's adorable. He plays a freakin' flute.
Sam: Yeah, Dean. That's – that's Pan. It's his flute.
Pan was the Greek god of nature who played a flute made of multiple reeds, known as Pan's pipes.

Dean: So now we're reporting to low rent Christian Bale? Seriously? I don't like that guy. He creeps me out.
Christian Bale is an English actor known for his role as Batman, and his temper.
